Contract job offer

Hey guys,

I am currently on my open 3 year PGWP which is valid till sept 2019. I got a contract job offer for 1 year starting this month and my occupation is listed in NOC A list. My question is am i eligible to apply for express entry through CEC. Is there any other category in express i can apply with. My worry is bcoz its on 1 year contract.

You need to work for a full-year (assuming full time work experience) in order to be eligible under the CEC program.

You are eligible for Express entry as long as you are doing it as a full time job and has 1560 hours(I believe) in total. Iw as on a contract for a year at NOC A 2174/2175. then they ended up hiring me permanently I was bale to create my EE profile based on the year I worked on contract.
