Hi there,
I am from the States and my wife lives in Canada. We submitted our PR application (outland) in December 2014 and while that goes through, I have been back and forth visiting Canada to be with my wife.
During the process I understand that I can not work in Canada, so we decided it would be best if I took some Continued Education classes to add to my resume. Once you complete the 8 classes in the program, the college gives you a certificate.
The college that I am interested in said that as long as the program does not last longer than 6 months I do not require a study permit. They also said that they weren't sure how this works with the program I am interested in because you can take the classes here and there (there are 8 classes in total, each lasting about 2 months) until the program is complete.
If this is possible to do, I am planning on taking a class or two in Canada, then return to the United States for a few weeks, and then return to Canada to complete other classes.
I really want to make sure this is okay for me to do, so any advice you might have on this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
