If a PGWP holder is issued a subpoena and they dont appear will immigration find out?
If Immigration finds out can the person be deported since its only a civil matter and its not criminal?
if so would a immigration trial be held before sending the PGWP holder home?

If you receive a subpoena to go to court, you must attend. Failing to attend can result in being arrested. Once at court, you must testify and respond to questions from both the Crown prosecutor and the defence lawyer. If you refuse to answer the questions, the judge may find that you are in contempt of court. This is an offence, and means that you can be put in prison for up-to 90 days and be ordered to pay a fine of up-to $100.

As indicated above, it’s not the civil case that matters, it’s ignoring the subpoena that will land them in trouble. Immigration is automatically informed of offences against PRs.
It’s unlikely a single charge of contempt would result in loss of PR status, but if they had other charges previously or in the future it could lead to revocation.
