Conjugal Relationship, immigration barrier - DACA?

My partner and I initially met online. I am a Canadian born citizen and he is living in the United States under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) born in Mexico.

To us, we face an immigration barrier as we cannot live together for 12 months because he is not valid for reentry in the US if he chooses to leave to be with me.

We have been together since October, 2015. We've continually travelled to see each other. He cannot sponsor me in United States as he is not a citizen.

We have joint affairs - bank accounts and have been saving money to be together. We are looking to close the gap between us but are having a hard time understanding what is the best way to proceed? :(

ANY help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No barrier to you going to the US to live with him 12 months to become common-law, or to get married in the US and apply as spouses.

You do not qualify as conjugal so don't even consider this route.

There are ways for a DACA to depart the country and be allowed to return (Advance Parole). It isn't perfect, but there is potential for your partner to travel to Canada and return to US if they could come up with a valid reason.
