Hello guys
I hope I could find answer for my inquires
I am in a relationship with my Canadian boy friend (m2m) 9 months ago through internet, he sent me an invitation some months ago to go to hem to make marriage then to response me to stay with hem, I applied for the visa but it is refused and we made a complain in Montreal but it is refused again because they I don’t have a proof that I will return.
We haven’t met in person yet, but we are talking everyday at least one hour through Skype, we send to each other hundreds of emails during 9 months, everyday 3 or 4 emails.
Do you think we will be eligible if we applied as conjugal partner ??
Thank you

What is a conjugal partner? The regulations aren’t helpful, as they define “conjugal partner” to mean “in relation to a sponsor, a foreign national residing outside Canada who is in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor and has been in that relationship for a period of at least one year.

You have to have been in a conjugal relationship for at least a year before you can possibly apply under the conjugal category.
Then a conjugal relationship is one that is as marriage-like as possible: you must have joined your financial affairs, for example. You haven't even met in person yet, so there is no physical relationship.
Could you two travel to a different country to at least meet each other, and then continue the relationship? I would advise you to not marry the first time you meet. Marrying at the first meeting makes it very difficult to prove the relationship is genuine. Travel, meet, get to know one another during a 2-week vacation, for example. Then continue your long-distance relationship, visiting as often as possible. Then get married at least 6 months later.
I don't know how much of this would be possible in your situation, but as it is now you have no hope of getting accepted as a conjugal partner.

Thank you so much for the reply
I just want to say that because I couldn’t get visa to go to Canada to meet hem, and hem also can’t get visa to meet me in Saudi Arabia, and meeting in reality is important for a conjugal relation, We thought to go some other country to meet each other, but because it traveling costs too much for each other , we planned to go to a country where we can marry , we chose south Africa because I can get the visa to there, we expect that marriage is will finish all the debate about proving our relationship.
we planned to go to south Africa in 3 months ( in this time our relation will complete one year) to make marriage , then he will return to Canada to sponsor me as a spouse.
But, you said it is difficult to prove the relationship, I thought that marriage is the biggest prove.
I want ask, Does CIC ask about how much strong the relation between married people?
If so, we can prove by our connection during all the year through Skype , Email , phone bill, and litters.
Are not enough in this case
Thank you so much in advance,

Thank you so much in advance,
- You could open a bank account and your partner will send you money.

- You could also use Western Union transfers for this

- Your partner could purchase a life insurance in Canada and give your name as a beneficiary.

You don't have to have been in a relationship for a year to sponsor if you are married. However, the longer the relationship premarriage the better, usually.
But, you said it is difficult to prove the relationship, I thought that marriage is the biggest prove.

Even when the couple is married, they must still prove that the marriage is genuine and is not just for getting the applicant into Canada. So you have to send a lot of evidence showing your relationship is real. Send evidence from the whole length of your relationship. You will also have to describe how the relationship developed from the first contact up to getting married and after.
If so, we can prove by our connection during all the year through Skype , Email , phone bill, and litters.
These are all good evidence of your relationship.

If you feel that getting married the first time you actually meet in person is best because of financial concerns, at least spend as much time together as possible. If you could get a month vacation (or even more) that would be a lot better than just a week, for example. It would also be best to get married after a few weeks spent together, rather than when you first meet.

Even if the marriage ceremony is just a civil ceremony with few guests, do your best to make the day look special. Get dressed up, make it look as romantic as possible, take lots of photos, and have some kind of reception, even if it is just dinner with family and friends at a good restaurant. Try to have some family and friends there, though the cost may make this difficult, or perhaps your family doesn't approve.

You should get affidavits or letters from any family members who do approve of the marriage, stating they believe your marriage is genuine.
