HI Forum people,
Has anyone here gone to a conjugal partner interview? What kind of questions do you think they would ask?
We have filed under the conjugal partner class. Prior to applying to this class, we called Mississauga to confirm this was okay.
We have an interview date set for Feb 3 , 2011 @ 8am.
What should we expect at this interview? Do they usually give you a response on that day? Either negative or positive?
Any advice you can offer? The reason why we were not able to marry was A- Divorce pending for almost 2 years (not legally divorced) B- received 2 visa denials TRV on his part and also I am not able to reside in his country for more than 3 months or 6 months at a time as a Canadian citizen (we are not married)
Here is a quick summary of our timeline:
met in aug 2008
filed for divorce april 2009 ( he has been separated since 2007)
TRV denial sept 2009
filed sponsorship appl. in october 2009
visa office received app. Dec 9, 2009
TRV denial jan 2010
gave birth to our son Feb 2010
received msg from embassy for interview date set Feb 3rd, 2011
Divorce still pending, waiting for temporary divorce cert. which should come in the next few weeks.
Any advice anyone can offer? I am so nervous, this is our only chance. !!!
