Hi there!

I've been through a long and complicated process for my PR so I'll break it down in points:

1. Received ITA in April 2017
2. Submitted documents towards the end of April
3. Got married June 2017
4. Added spouse to application July 2017
5. Was requested for Spouse documents August 2017
6. Submitted spouse documents + medical in W2 August 2017
7. Received request for passport submission September 1, 2017

Now the issue is, I'm based in Canada and my spouse is based overseas. The email that I received from CIC asked for our submission in our home country but also had instructions on submission if both of us were based in Canada (CPC Ottawa).

I sent my passport on September 12 to CPC Ottawa, asking for instructions on her passport submission. There is no update on my application status online, neither have I heard back for her next steps.

Any idea what I should do right now? Both of us need to travel for our jobs over the next 2-3 weeks and this uncertainty is killing us!

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
Please advice. I got the request for submission of passport at VFS delhi on 05.09.2017. But my passport is valid till 03.01.2018. Since the validity is less than 06 months, I applied for re-issue of passport. I tried to contact CPC Ottawa and Delhi Immigration Office vide email and telephone, but there has been no response from them. If I get the new passport and send the cancelled (Old) and new passport to VFS delhi, will there be any issue to get the passport stamped?
