Confusion regarding the entry date to Canada in the Student visa.

I have a Canadian Student Visa valid from March, 2016 to March, 2018. The letter that I received along with the visa mentions nothing about the date within which I must enter Canada before it expires. In the letter the "Must enter Canada by" section is kept blank and in the another part of the letter "You must seek entry to Canada to obtain your study permit (yyyy/mm/dd)" is also left blank. My question is if that is a typographical error or they generally leave it blank in the letter. I am planning to enter Canada in the May, 2017. I wish I could add the image of the letter to make it understood better but I don't know how to do so. Thanks.

If you're student visa is valid from March 2016, Why would you only enter Canada only by May 2017?

I was supposed to join my designated learning institute in Canada in September, 2016 but due to some fellowship issues it had to postponed to May this year. That is why I will be entering Canada in this May. Anyways, can you please give me any idea about the query I made on Entry Date? Thanks

dont need to get confused, you will recive your study permit document when you reach canada at the airport which will tell your exact day of entry and and your date of your expiry of your study permit

Hi, thanks for the reply. I already know the expiry date of my visa. It's March, 2018. I just want to be sure that if it is okay to not have the Entry Date printed on the cover letter of visa (for whatever reasons) for me to enter Canada.

i had a same problem when i first came to canada , you will get the study permit at air port
