Confusion in landing first time

Hello guys,

my brother got PR by express entry(FSW) and they book ticket for qatar airways which is through doha -Montreal to toronto. Connection time in montreal is 2 hour 20 min. My question is that whether there is any problem for landing in montreal as there landing destination is toronto in COPR. Is it a must to land in Toronto as it will be their first landing.

Won't be any issues since your brother would carry proof of onward journey in form of boarding pass from Montreal to Toronto.

No need to post duplicate questions but as I said in my other reply the only borderline thing is the connection time given no way to tell how long immigration and customs will take, could be quick could be long depending how many others are completing a landing. Your brother will collect luggage at Montreal, clear customs and drop off at connections desk, that sequence adds time as well.

Does not matter what the destination on COPR is, but keep in mind that he would have to clear into the country in the first airport that he lands in Canada. That means you have to make sure you have enough time to get cleared in. I have a feeling 2 hours 20 will not be enough. Took me 3 hours just to clear. Different city though. Good luck
