Confusion between NOC Codes

Hello Everyone-

I am working in Canada on closed work permit which has the NOC Code 2173 (It comes under TEER Category A). But as per my Roles and responsibilities i am in 20012 – Computer and information systems managers .

I checked with my employer too and they said in order to change the NOC code they need to file amendment and they are ready to do so. Please let me know do i need to wait to file the PR until the amendment approves or can i file it under New Noc Code.

As the NOC code 0 offer in the PR application points gives 200 points while NOC code 2173 only gives 50 points. Which one to select??

PS: My work permit is also expiring in Oct 2024

20012 doesn’t give you 200 points. It gives you 50. The only NOCs that give 200 points are NOCS that begin with 00. So CEO/CFO/VP. But you cannot claim the NOC until LMIA amendment is approved.
