Confusion about NOC selection

Hello everyone!

I joined this forum since I am about to make my ITA very soon, but I'm having difficulty in selecting my occupation from NOC. There are two profiles that are applicable to me, one in skill level 0 the other is skill level A.

The skill level 0 is more applicable to me, however, I have a total of 5 years of post-qualification experience in the area (total years of experience is 7). Now I have 3 questions in regards with this:

1. Are there any special experience requirements to apply for a skill level 0 occupation since it is considered a more senior position. I found this on the website

Several years of experience as a sales representative or in a related occupation are usually required.

I am assuming this is before getting into the said role.

Does this mean that they will deduct some years of my experience on a "sales rep" level for me to have the skill level 0 experience?

If yes would it be better to apply for the skill level A occupation? Which would be considered a more junior position?

2. My second question is while making the visa application, will I be required to provide a detailed experience letter, with job duties and all? Or is just a basic experience letter fine with a lot of supporting evidences?

3. The Skill Level A occupation requires the following:

  • A bachelor's degree in economics, commerce, business administration or public administration is required.
  • Certification as a certified economic developer (Ec.D.) may be required.
This is something I do not have, so is it a mandatory requirement? Shall I apply for another occupation?

I would appreciate feedback from applicants who have processed their cases successfully.

1. Select the NOC which is closest to your job roles and duties. You will have to provide a letter of reference for all the jobs from your reporting Manager/HR. So it doesnt matter
2. Point 1 addresses this
3. There is no rule to have the mentioned qualifications. NOC describes your work experience which could be different from your qualification. You just need to prove your duties beyond doubt.
