Confusion about family member section

Hi guys,

I am preparing a visit visa application for my mom to visit us in Canada. I have a confusion about the family member section.
For the question: Do you have a family member who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and is 18 years or older? she answered Yes.
But the definition of a family member include a dependent children only. I am not depedent on her, instead I will be supporting her visa application as a host. Does that make me not a family member and I should answer No?

Being not dependant of your mom, instead, you would be consider as an extended family member of your mom.
