I received AIP on 4th September on email for my September intake, I have a refusal in 2019, so I updated the same CAQ, Medicals, and Biometrics.
since I had an error in the previous CAQ, the college didn't allow me to take the Online class and was left with the only option of deferring my course to a Jan Intake.
After requesting the college, updated the new LOA and the New Revised CAQ. Raised a Webform on Dec, 11th for the technical error of Medicals not Updated in the GC key.
But many who applied after me are getting updates, and even PPR too.. I have a fear, that I might get a refusal resulting in wasting one year of my life... ( I don't want to blame corona for that.. lol ) Since the Jan intake starts on the 13th of the month, if I happen to move to Canada, I shud stay in quarantine for 14 days which is really making me upset. Not sure how long the process is going to take, experts can you please advise me whether I shud wait or defer for the next intake?

IRCC is processing application in First-Come-First-Serve mode, for complete applications with biometrics and medical.
This is my best guess looking at the approved/refused updates in various threads.
They are NOT prioritizing fall2020 or winter 2021.
In addition, there are too many webforms and emails from all around the world.
Local embassies are not processing applications.
Decisions are from Case Processing Centers within Canada.

Now, Quebec has rising COVID-19 cases; and is probably going into curfew/lockdown.
Did you check with anybody there about the chances of your in-person classes happening?
