Am I the only one who finds this confusing? Doesn't the first point mean that as long as the PCC was issued less than 6 months ago I can safely go back to the country I was leaving in even after the PCC was issued?

If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:

- are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.

- have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.
- CIC Website

Of course you can. But if you apply after it expires, it will not be accepted.

It is commonly said on this forum that if you get a PCC from a country you lived in before, you cannot go back to that country because otherwise you need a new PCC.

So that's not true? Meaning I can go back and forth as many times as I want as long as my PCC is less than 6 months old?
