Hi, im a IT Specialist from Cuba and I summited my application last april 19th, on august 16th I received a e-mail from the FSW-CIO rejecting me, this cic officer claims not to be satisfied with the main duties I expressed, and to be frank I understand because what I described as my main duties does not meet the ones mentioned on the NOC for the 0213 code (Computer and Information Systems Manager)
I double checked, and in deed my jub title, duties etc, does not meet 0213 code, then my questions are:

-Is there any other code for IT Specialist that the FSW-CIO will accept?
-Do I really have a chance to get through? I don't want to loose my fee trying for nothing... :'(

Thanks in advance...

Hello Ray,

After the changes of regulations that took place on June 26th, all computer science occupations have been removed from the occupations list.
I am sorry to tell you that as an IT specialist you can not migrate now through Federal Skilled Worker program, however there may be other migration programs suitable for your specific circumstances. For example if you speak french, try Quebec, if you have a relative living in Canada try the corresponding Nominee Program.

Search for the program that suits you and Good Luck
