Hey Guyz

I got my visa for may 2013 conestoga college- embedded system development :D

My visa valid from 23/03/2013 -- 30/08/2014.

My program is for two years ie 3 semesters and one co-op. In my offer letter the duration is mentioned as follows

Expected Arrival Date: 2013-04-29
Start date: 2013-05-01
First Day of Classes: 2013-05-06
End date: 2014-08-31

My question is for how long will I get PGWP. will it be for 3 years.. ?
will the co-op be considered as part of my program... ? as its mandatory
to do co-op will I need a work permit...?

please guyzz help... I'm really confused..

Hi,
As per the official program site: http://www.conestogac.on.ca/fulltime/1316C.jsp
Embedded Systems Development (Post-Graduate) (Co-op) program in Conestoga college is a two-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program. Since it's a 2 acadmeic year/4 term (3 term classes+ 1 term co-op), you will definitely be eligble for a 3 year PGWP. Do not worry about it.
Yes, co-op is a mandatory part of this program and will be considered as the 4th term of this 2 acadmeic year full time program.

Co-op or internship can be paid or unpaid. It is the only time, when as a student you can work (and even earn) full time. As per current rules, international students must apply for a co-op work permit, before beginning co-op work.

Best of Luck.
