Hi,

It all started last week when I went to see my deputy's assistant and ask her if Bogota has all the docs because we haven't heard from them, nor had a change in e-cas in about 6 months. She came back to me yesterday, saying the visa office has not received the CSQ. What is funny though is the following:

-MICC confirmed me they sent the CSQ on december 21st 2010.
-When I sent the bank deposit for the criminal background to the visa office in Bogota, I joined a copy of the CSQ in the same envelop. I have the receipt from the courrier service that someone took the letter at the visa office and signed.

I called CIC-M and asked if they can see in their computer if Bogota received CSQ, which she said she can't and most probably Bogota hasn't started to study the case because it is waiting for the CSQ. I have also heard they study the cases but wait until they received the CSQ for PPR. What worries me now is that if they lost the letter with the bank deposit, they haven't started to do the criminal background process...what a bummer....

So, something is wrong there. The deputy's assistant told me to send her all the scanned proofs I took (CSQ, bank deposit, courrier slip etc.) and that she will investigate further more. I am really angry, because if I had not been to meet my deputy's assistant, I would have never noticed this for months. Bogota would probably have waited until the 10 month mark because after the 10 month mark, you are allowed to contact them.

If things get sorted out with the e-mail of my deputy with the proofs that I have, will the Visa office put up in *first*, or let's say I just lost all the months waiting for nothing?

I'm trying to hold on, but ...this is just hard to accept.

Thanks for your input.

I'm sorry to hear about this trouble you're having. At least your MP is trying to help you.
Good luck.

thank you for your support and understanding :) I will be waiting for an answer from the MP's office!

The VO will never admit to screwing up, but has anyone ever heard of a visa office giving preferential treatment to a case where the VO lost the documents? Seems only fair.
