confused about the right application for study permit

Hello,

I Attended university of AB as a graduate student from 2015 to Fall 2018.

In Fall 2018, I went to medical leave and it is valid until Fall 2019. I am staying in canada as visitor, and I have a valid work permit so my status is legal to apply from within Canada.

Since I will be back to school in September 2019, what kind of application for Study permits should I be using?

Am I running out of time if I apply now?

It is much too late to apply now for September intake. I recommend deferring your offer to January and that will give you plenty of time to work on your application.

How canI be late if I am extending my student permit?

If your study permit expires, then you would be applying for a new study permit. If it has not expire, then you can extend it.
