Hi,
My wife applied on 2nd June 2016 for TRV. She got summer vacation so she wants to visit me. I am a PGWP holder.
The processing Time was 15 days when she applied.
On June 6, the processing time was 18 days.
On June 13, the processing time was 20 days
On June 21, the processing showing 21 days.

She did her bio-metric in VFS on June 2, 2016. As far as i know CIC receive bio-metric immediately. I checked from MYCIC and they updated that they got bio-metric on June 07, 2016(got an email too that your application has been updated.)

After that we did not hear anything from CIC.
So my question is
1. Which processing time we should count? is it okay if we contact cic just after processing time?
2. Anyone have any idea why they took time to update the biometric info? does that mean processing time starts when they got Bio-metric? (as they said processing time starts when they receive complete application)

Hi,

The processing times posted on the CIC website are updated weekly..... based on the time it took to process 80% of the applications. Actual processing time can be faster/take longer.

As an estimate, you must consider the latest posted time.

Contacting CIC (through a CSE) will not help as the processing time has not exceeded the posted time in your wife's case

Cheers

Biometrics are not received immediately and they can take time. You should start considering the processing time from the time the application was complete, which means, once the biometrics have been received.
