Hello,

So my understanding is there is no low income cut off to sponsor my spouse to come to Canada if my spouse has no children.

Background:

Before my spouse went back to his home country to await me sponsoring him, he paid most of our bills (he had multiple working holiday visas in Canada). I mostly live off of student loans, scholarships, summer job income. We are doing out out of Canada PR Family class sponsorship!

My questions:
I am confused because there is no low income cut off, so what do they base this on?
What is the minimum amount I have to have to sponsor my husband?

Thank you!

You have to show that you have the means to support yourselves without government help, whether that is savings, whether your husband is working at home, whether your families can support you financially and can provide proof they have the extra savings to do so, etc.

There is no minimum amount. As said above, you guys need to show that you can support yourselves in Canada without welfare.
