CONFLICT!! Post graduate work permit and passport expiry.

I am graduate student with study permit till Aug'2016 and eligible for 3 years PGWP after that. But issue is that my passport will going to expire in Sept'2017, so I will get only 1 year PGWP(sept'16 - sept'17) instead of 3.

Note: Passport can only be renewed within 1 year of expiry date.

Do anyone else faced the same situation or have any alternate solution for it?

1. There is only one solution. Once you renew your passport, you apply for the remaining time on your PGWP.
