Confirmation of received application by Centralized Intake Office (CIO)???

Hi there,

How long will it take before the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) confirms that they've received my FSW application? I have mailed my application from within the Netherlands on October 2nd 2014, which implies that the CIO has received my paperwork around October 9th. However, I haven't heard anything back from the CIO yet. Will the CIO inform me via e-mail?

They don't give such confirmation. The first communication from CIC will be when they assess your application and determine that it is eligible for processing. This will be 3-4 months after the receipt date and if you provided email address, you will get an email. If, on the other hand, your application is found incomplete then you will get the returned application package without any communication (also around 3-4 months).

Thanks for you fast reply! I've tried to track my application status via my UCI number (obtained when applying for a temporary work permit before), but no success.

Will it also take up to four months before the CIO deducts the application fee from my credit card?

Yes. Your UCI will be updated around the same time you will get an email from CIC. And the same time frame for credit card charge. You will see your CC charged about 1-2 weeks before you hear from CIC.
