Hi, this is my problem, I sponsored my parents and they were accepted, they got the immigrant visa and all the papers in my country. They were coming to Montreal - Quebec by Toronto. So when they arrived to Toronto, they showed the immigrant visa and went to the immigration office. The problem is that they gave all the papers to the officer but he didnt give them their confirmation of permanent residence, the only paper they have is the CSQ (certificat de selection du quebec). I don't know if the process has changed but I know from friends that you must get your confirmation of permanent residence and landing papers at the airport.
I have called CIC but they want me to fill out this form to become representative of my parents because they don't speak english nor french.
And also, I just checked their application status online and it says "You entered Canada at the Lester B Pearson International Airport....became a Permanent Resident".
I was just wondering if that happened to any of you guys.
