Conditions of Stay after Extension of Visitor Visa

Hi all,

I have applied for an extension of visitor visa before in May 2013, and I left Canada during the implied status, after which Vegreville posted a letter to my husband (then boyfriend) about the approval. Then I came back 20 July 2013 and was allowed through customs for another six months.

I read one of the conditions of stay is that:
Must leave Canada by a certain date.

I was wondering if:

1. I was to apply for an extension of visitor visa for another six months now (my current visa ends on 20 Jan 2014), what are the chances of it being approved?

2. If one of the conditions of stay is MUST leave Canada by a certain date again, would I be able to apply for PR before the date stated in the conditions of stay?

3. If I was to apply for my PR during my implied status, would the implied status of visitor visa stay until a decision has been reached for my PR?

4. Should I apply for the extension of my visitor visa or should I apply for my PR together with the Open Work Permit? Which is the better choice?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi

1. See 4.

2. "Must leave" doesn't mean that you can't apply to extend your status and stay longer if approved. You can apply for PR anytime (sooner is better)

3. No. You would have Implied Status until a decision was made on the extension app. A PR app does not give Implied Status.

4. Apply for inland PR with the OWP as soon as possible. Only apply for a visitor extension if you can't submit the PR/OWP app before Jan 20th, 2014.
