Hi All,

I received a copy of COPR with condition 51.

My husband is in Toronto and i'll be joining him in couple of months. We do not have kids yet. However my parents are in my native country and need to keep visiting them as their health conditions are not so encouraging. I might have to spend some time with them for medical treatments if required. My husband mite not be able to accompany me.In such case as per the condition 51 I will be violating the rule and I am a bit worried. Our marriage is legal and myself and my husband would want to live together expect for time of emergency where I have to visit my native country. Someone please help me to deal with this and share some info/knowledge.

After a long wait i had got my PR visa and i wouldn't want to waste it at the same time i also have a family commitment in native country which I've to abide when required.

After collecting my PR card can i keep visiting my native counry for extended durations?
Will I be questioned every time in port of entry on the reason for my exit out from canada as the condition 51 is mentioned in COPR
How do i show the proof for my visit to native country to retain my PR

How long is "extended duration"? a few weeks to a month at a time can be fine. If it is several months, then you may have a problem.
