I have been granted an extension on my work permit for while I wait for my PNP to go through. However my extension says I'm unable to work which seems a little confusing? Has anyone else been in this position?

Did they extend your work permit or did they change your status to visitor? Sounds like it was changed to visitor status.
This does seem to be the case (I'm actually writing this on behalf of a friend). I'm just wondering how this will affect my current PNP application?
Unfortunately, I don't have the answer to that. I would think that there would be no effect since the application is already in process, but it is also likely that continuing to work is a requirement. I don't know.
