So I am a PR and I was under condition 51. My husband (canadian citizen) sponsored me couple of years ago. While we still were under condition 51 (not anymore) we were in a relationship but because of his work we didn't really shared the same household (at least not for 6 month every year). We were living in my home country but he was studying in another country (not canada). But nobody noticed and we were fine. Now I have to apply for a new PR card and because I haven't been in Canada for 750 days I need to fill out the part about "have you been with a canadian spouse outside of canada". Both together will add up to more than 750 days. But now I am worried that they will see that at the beginning of our relationship (while we were still under condition 51) we didn't live together the whole time. Can they take away my PR status because of this even though now I fullfill all requirements in order to get a new PR card.
Thanks for your help.
Oh and another question (not for me though, so this has nothing to do with my first question): if you apply (only a year after recieving your first permanent resident card) for a new PR card because of a legal name change how long will it be valid? Another 5 years after the day they approve it or just until your old one would expire (which would be in 3 1/2 years).
