Hi everyone.

Im getting closed to my 1 year living together with my boyfriend ( now fiancee ) .
Problem is that for this one year, ive been on tourist visa and not able to work. My boyfriend have been happily taking care of me.
As this have been a naturally evolving relationship I am worried that im not able to give enough proof that we are in a real relationship. He is mortage free, and have been paying all the bills as I have no income.
The only thing I have in my name is the internett that I ordered in September.
I can get a lot of letters that proof our relationship and I have lots of pictures from travels together and meeting my family etc etc etc. But will this be enough?
Ive seen several cases in this forum where people who have TONS of proof and still gets denied.
Thanks

If you only have internet that is certainly not enough. You're going to need to be added to other things.

You're applying to be sponsored to be able to live in a country, versus you are now a foreign national on a visitors visa , so yes, before they approve that you can stay here sponsored, you are going to have a lot more proof then a simple internet bill with your name on it.

Have you already looked at this from the Government, found online ?

Lets say we add me on all the regular bills he has today. Even if i cant contribute with money. Would they still concider my application if I find other proof that we actually have been living together since august ?
Or do we just have to wait until next may before we apply for common law. If that is the case, i think we will just get married this year instead of next....

You're going to need more than that to demonstrate common law. Either start adding your name to things now or marry, as you said. What you have is not sufficient to prove CL.

Yeah I have looked. But the thing that confuses me is that the lawyer said i had nothing to worry about since we are in a sincere realtionship..... But looking at the list there is some of the check point i just cant show.He said just be honest and show the proof that you have. He said since our relationship has evolved naturally it should count as a pluss. But reading all the threads inhere i highly doubt that I will get approved that way

And btw, don't forget to keep updating your visitor visa with immigration, you don't want to fall out of status. If you are close to your visitor visa expiration, you need to apply with the CIC to keep yourself valid

No problem, but no offense to the lawyer profession, but they aren't the one that are going to be going over your application, and either stamping approved, or sent back, refused requesting more proof. Better to be safe then sorry.
