Hello,
I have applied in EE in last February. I am married, my score was 452, I received an ITA on the same month and have gone through the process and submitted my application on April.
They started processing my application on June, then sent me a message for additional documents needed (IELTS certificate, and Travel History Form), I submitted them, then I received a notification saying that my application was canceled because it was incomplete. A Police Certificate was missing.
My husband traveled twice to the US and spent 3 months each time, I did not know that they add the overall period of your stay in the same country over the past 10 years (or since you were 18) and consider that a 6 months or more duration.
Anyhow, they canceled my application and said that I need to make a new profile to be considered into the pool, and the message said:
"The information you submitted as part of your original Express Entry profile will remain in your MyCIC account for 60 calendar days from the date of this letter. This information can be used to submit a new Express Entry profile"
1- When I made a new profile, I answered the question, have you applied to immigration before "yes" and referred to my cancelled application number. the information that were used in the previous account were not anywhere to be found. What did they mean by the captioned sentence i mentioned above?
I tried to look online on how to get a Police Certificate from the US, and found that there is an FBI form and Fingerprint card that you download from the FBI website, fill them and send them to the US,
2- The Fingerprint card has a place where the officer in charge of taking your fingerprint signs. since I live outside of the US, do i go to the local police station and ask them to do that (I am from Egypt, and I don't think they would agree). I have read somewhere that I have to go to the US embassy or Consulate and ask them to take the fingerprints and so, is that correct? if not please advise me on how to fill them.
3- Do you have any idea how long it takes them to finish the Police Certificate?
After I submitted my new EE profile, I received a message today saying that I am invited by Ontario to apply for PNP.
Since i know that the Police Certificate might take a long time, I am afraid if I applied for PNP and got accepted and my score got high, I wouldn't have enough time to submit the PC and all the efforts would be in vain,
4- Would the PNP application required documents need a Police Certificate like the one needed for EE (from the US for my husband)?
I am afraid if I applied to the PNP, that I get an ITA soon and I would not have enough time to present the US Police Certificate. But in the same time, I am afraid not to apply for the PNP, and the upcoming draws have higher cut-off score than mine and I do not receive an ITA based on my 452 points.
5- Based on the answer for question 4, if it doesn't expire, maybe I should wait for few rounds and see what is the cut-off score? what do you think?
They say that the processing fees for the Ontario PNP is $1,500:
6- Is this amount for me and my husband? or is it like the EE profile each person has a different amount?
7- If I pay for the fees of the Ontario PNP, and get a nomination, then get an ITA in the EE, will I have to submit the same documents I submitted when I got an ITA without the PNP? and will I have to pay the EE profile processing fees ($550 for each) ?
8- What do you think I should do?
Thank You !!
