Friends,

When we applied for PR, we put our status as common law. However, now we are married (post ITA and prior to uploading documents).

So, I plan to upload IMM5409 (filled out, but no attestation), copy of the lease showing us both as occupants (but with only my signature), a letter from leasing office stating that my wife has been staying here since past couple of years and our marriage license.

Is it necessary to submit IMM5409 if I provide copy of marriage license and explain in LOE that we were common law while application and are married now?

Thanks!

There is no need to submit IMM5409. You are not common-law, so it doesn't apply to you. Just submit the marriage certificate and the LOE.
