Common Law Sponsorship Question

We have been in a common law relationship for just over a year and are looking for me to sponsor him. Neither of us feel the need to be married at this time for we are both divorced, will this make things harder to have the application approved.

Also i am finishing a consumer proposal, will this hinder the application process? I could only find information as to if you filed a bankruptcy.

The consumer proposal will have no effect on the app. You will need to prove that you can support yourselves without welfare.

You should expect a delay due to his failed refugee claim.
