Hi everyone,

I'm a graduate student, set to graduate at the end of next month. My Teaching Assistant contract expired in May, and due to world events a job I was in talks for the summer fell through. I'm now unemployed focusing on finishing my degree.

For explaining how we'll support ourselves, I have approximately 15k in savings (and my partner has 9k). Would a screenshot of my bank account, or a recent bank statement be useful? I am also confident to get a job soon after I graduate, as I'm job searching and my master's will give me boosted credentials. My partner is also in Canada, and employed. Would this be enough?

My partner, who I'm sponsoring, is due to receive an inheritance soon. Should I mention that too, although he doesn't have the money yet, so I can't provide proof?
He also has some money tied up in bonds in his home country, but isn't sure if he can get a screenshot on time for us to submit the application.

Thank you for your help!

A bank statement from the both of you should be sufficient. You can also include a note that you have just finished your TA position and are finishing your degree then will start your job search. You can even update via webform once you get a job and include your job offer. This isn't necessarily but an extra piece of information.
