Hi All,
This question may sound silly, but I think we all have doubts as to what is advisable/acceptable in completing the permits process so that they are not rejects. Please, read mine ad give me yout thoughts and answers from experience.

I have received the Letter of Acceptance from Mohawk College so started to gather the documents, and my common-law partner needs to upload the Purpose of Travel letter. I complete all the forms of my dependents because I'm the one speaking the language.

Would it be a problem if he writes his letter and I help him translating it into English, he sings the English copy and I upload that as supporting document? OR Do I have to make it translate by a professional translator, make it certify by a Notary Public and then upload that?

Sorry, but I'm afraid the reject that on the grounds he does not speak the language but can write an explanation in really good English.

Thanks! :)

IMO..I guess It would be good if he writes the letter and it should be translated by Certified Translator and follow the rules laid by CIC (I guess notarized etc)

If he can't speak English and you're the student, how will you be able to support yourselves? He won't be able to work if he can't speak the language and you can't work more than part time to keep up with your studies.

So unless the two of you have unlimited funds to support yourselves without working, I can't see how either of you will get a visa. Never mind have bg a letter professionally translated and certified.
