I am currently applying to Post graduate program to Douglas College in Canada from US. And hoping I can bring my common law partner with me.
Our background:
We have been living together 2,5 years but I only have the lease for 2 apartment that we rented together. We are in the US with OPT option. So I am applying to come to Canada with a study permit this September, and want to bring my common law partner to come with me at the same time. However, we are come from two different country( I am from Vietnam, And he is from Venezuela) . Should I apply for his open work permit at the same time or should I apply for him after I get my study permit. And what is other option we could do to have him come with me? He also talked to his boss about coming to Canada, and his boss said he could talk to someone to find a job for him, or work in the same bank that he is working right now in the US.
