Hey all,

I was in a common-law relationship between 2004 and 2006 and we broke up while in Canada. I did (or rather we) not get a separation agreement as we're still good friends and really did not feel the need for one. The requirements state that I need to send a separation agreement ... as I do not have one, does anyone have any suggestions?

I was going to get my ex common-law partner to write a letter stating that we did not have an agreement but that we're not claiming anything off each other...will that be enough?

Thanks as always!

Nigel
