Hi guys,

Please help with an advice.

I'd like my mom to visit me in Canada. Unfortunately I got laid off recently. In this case can my common-law partner sponsor my mom to help her to get a visa? He is employed with engineering company and can provide all necessary supportive documents. My mom is a retired and doesn't have lots of money on her bank account. Also, as a common-law partners should we prove the immigration officer that we've lived together for a 1 year?

Thanks.

Sure. Your mom can also apply by herself without an invitation from you/partner.
