Hi there friends,
One thing very weird just happened to my CRA account - common-law effective date after I completed to file 2017 tax.
I initially put my common-law effective date starting as XX-March-2017 since I have been living together with my partner since XX-March-2016.
Then we filed our 2017 tax a week ago with a help from my personal accountant. Today, when I logged in my CRA personal information to check my marital status, the effective date has been changed to 31-December-2017 which is not done by myself. I do not understand why this happens.
I would like to fix it back to XX-March-2017 so I can use it as a proof for my PR application. Does anyone know why this happened and how I can update it back?
