Hi guys,

I have a serious question about my work permit, please help me.

I am with my common-law partners for over 4 years. 2 years ago, she helped me get an open work permit. We planned to apply for PR and stay in Canada together. However, my girl's family pushed her so bad going back to hometown and give up all the lives here. For me, I still love Canada and would love to keep staying here. The question is if my work permit will be still valid until the expiry date? Under the conditions, it doesn't mention anything about break-ups affects the work permit. But there is rewards, at the bottom of WP, saying TEMPORARY RESIDENT STATUS MAINTAINED AS PER R183(6), SPOUSE OF KILLED WORKERS.

If someone can help me out, I really appreciate it.

Thanks
