Hi,

I submitted my common-law partner application for sponsorship and mine for PR a few weeks ago.
Haven't received AOR or anything yet, but now I am wondering, since we were planning to go visit my in-laws over Christmas, can I do that ?

I am from a Visa Waiver country (in the EU), so I should be fine, right ? Or would they think I am trying to get in and stay ? (which of course I am not)

Thanks for any advice.

I am sure you will be fine visiting for Christmas, especially if you have a return ticket. We did the same thing last year and didn't have any problems crossing the border from the USA. Maybe someone from the EU can share their experience also. Happy vacation.

You'll be fine. You don't even need to mention the PR app to the customs officer...you really are just visiting at this point. Like chala said, just have a return ticket handy, and don't overpack either.
