Common-law application barrier

Hello guys! My boyfriend and I are living together for 8 months, and we want to apply for Common-law after a year. I am living at his apartment and all my documents are under this address but for the first 6 months I was on a list and paid rent for another apartment ( the situation was complicated - my roommate left to US for a year (she wanted to keep the apartment and asked me to stay on a list and her friend lived in the apartment and was giving the rent and hydro to me). I didn't know my boyfriend and I were going to apply so I was okay with it.
Can it be a possible barrier?
Is it some sort of misrepresentation if we fail to prove we lived together for a year and they find out about the apartment under my name?

You will need to prove that you have been living together since the beginning of the 1 year. Expect to have to provide proof. Seems like you weren’t on the lease. Any utilities in your name from the 1 year mark? Any bills or mails with your address and date on it?

Yes, a bunch of those(utility bills, my tax return address and other stuff) I am just worried that somehow immigration officer finds out that I was renting another apartment (even though I didn't live there).

As long as you have proof of your address from the beginning of your relationship and throughout the 1 year it should be fine. The first 6 months tend to be the period of time where people lack proof that they were living together.

Perfect, thank you! I was quite worried about the misrepresentation part of the officer decides we lied at some point).

They won't find out unless you tell them.
