Misguided by a consultant, I kept fake experience while submitting the application back in 2010 and later realized the mistake and withdrew the application. How do I rectify this in future.

Your UCI that you were assigned before will likely still be assigned to this application as well. In other words, IRCC may question the discrepancy and request clarification. No one here is going to advise you to mention the fake work experience in your personal history. For you to do so now is no better than what you did in 2010 by declaring false information. It could get you banned from Canada.

Yes, I did mention the UCI number in the past immigration history section. I was misguided by a consultant then and it went thus far before I realized it.

If IRCC senses something is off, they won't care the consultant told you to do it. If you didn't work for that year, don't say you did. Include a LoE with your new application indicating you applied in the past but withdrew your application. Indicate that you were unemployed/in school/whatever your true situation was for that year.

Was the fake work experience you tried to claim in the past related to the NOC you're applying under now?

Thank for the LoE idea.
