I am a Canadian girl with a Colombian boyfriend. We have been together for 3 years and have applied for a visitors visa twice and declined both times. The problem is, he has no real ties to his country aside from his Mom and brother, he is however the main provider for them. He has no children, no property etc... We have no ill intentions, we simply want him to visit my home country, meet my family, friends etc...but we are at a loss since the applications are being denied and I understand why, I just find it quite frustrating and need some suggestions that could possibly help our case in proving to the immigration officer he will leave once his visa is over. Any suggestions, help etc... will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

No, that is not the problem, the problem is that you are not providing enough evidence of your intentions. People like that get VISAs all the time as long as they provide enough evidence. With you in Canada this should be very easy.

As Scylla says, please provide detailed info on what evidence has he provided.

We have provided a letter from his employer confirming he is employed and his bank record. As for me I have provided my tax assessment, T4, letter of employment, a letter of invitation and bank record.
I suppose that is my question, what evidence could we provide?
Thank you very much for all your replies, it is much appreciated.

What's the reason for denial?

The reasons he was declined are:
He did not satisfy the officer he would leave Canada at the end of his vacation
His personal assets and financial status (the reason for this I am guessing is he does not own any property, the financial status he has about 1000.00 in the bank but I also said he would be living with me and helping out financially)
His Travel history ( he has never travelled outside of Colombia)
Family ties in Canada and in his country (he has no children and the family he has is his Mom and brother)
Again any help or suggestions is much appreciated.
