some one tell me please.

can you actualy co-sponsor some one from u.s as u.s citizen living in u.s for canadian? in other words if a retired canadian citizen is getting marry overseas and doesn't make enough can his son who is u.s citizen living in u.s can he sponsor his father's wife (son's step mother) from u.s ?

or it has to be canadian citizen for co-sponsor?

can a PR holder be a co-sponsor also?

what if you had sponsored some one earlier in past years or months ago then planning to sponsor some one else will it hurt the case?

are there any special programs for senior canadian citizens who are retired and doesn't make enough to bring his wife to canada?

please reply back thanks in advance.

For the 11,823rd time, to SPONSOR spouses and dependent children The sponsor is not REQUIRED to meet the Low Income Cut Off figure, the sponsor just can not be on welfare except for disability. There are no co-sponsors in spousal cases.

thanks PMM

this is weird though lawyer said that his pension will not count as an income because its govt based, and will not be enough to show source of income. but what if he have ammount of cash or a property overseas or in canada does that count as an income?

but he (lawyer) also told that there is one way he can bring his wife without showing any proof of income that he will have to convience a judge in canada explaning him the entire situation why he wants to bring his wife, so then judge will grant him to bring his wife to canada but that process will take atleast 2 years or more.

That is Bullsh** fire this lawyer he is either a crook or doesn't know what he is doing.

Again sponsors of spouse and dependent children DON"T have to have an income.

d_1982: You definitely do not need income to be a sponsor. I am a student and other than a scholarship and some work in the summer, I have no income. I was approved as my husband's sponsor and he just received his visa a few days ago. I agree with PMM -- your uncle's lawyer doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about!!
