Co-Sign Clarification - Income Split

Hi,

I need clarifications and advice on Co-Signing the application of my Wife's Parents.

Can i use my income for first 2 years as my wife didn't work and has zero income. Year 2022, she is running a business, and we can show her income. is it possible that I co-sign for first 2 years (2020, 2021) and she shows her income for 2022?

Yes as long as you meet LICO with your NOAs for the number of of people in your family including your parents if you sponsored them too through PGP. You are co-signing for all 3 years though.

You co-sign the sponsorship and you need to show income of both of you (even if her income is 0 in 2020 and 2021, it's fine) for all the years needed (2020, 2021, 2022 and on ward until her parents landed as PR). So BOTH income needed to be provided to IRCC. Make sure that she got paid by her business with proper income. It's her personal NOA, not her business' profit.

also once you co-signed, you are responsible for her parents' undertaking for 20 years after they landed as PR (regradless of your marital status/relationship)

Based on your previous posts it looks like you have been living in the UAE. If that’s correct that also is likely to be an issue.
