I am applying for FSW jointly with my wife ,Since I will be getting adaptability points for her IELTS score. Is it possible that I apply for my whole family (including my wife & 2 kids) for FSW at the time of applying but they do not accompany me to Canada initially. Is it possible that first I go to Canada alone, find a job for myself and later call my family.

You can do that. But that will not exempt your spouse from fulfilling all document requirements such as BC and PCC and most importantly the settlement funds.

To get adaptability points, your wife must be listed as accompanying you. But accompanying you does not mean she has to come to Canada at the same time as you. She and your kids can land later. BUT, they must land within one year of the date of their medical exam or their visa will expire and they will lose PR. And after landing, they will likely need to wait in Canada to receive their PR cards (1-2 months) so they can re-enter Canada with their PR cards whenever they wish, unless you are from a country that does not need a visa to travel to Canada. After that however, they can return to your country, but to maintain PR they must stay in Canada for 2 years out of every 5 year period.
