Closed wp to Open work permit?

Hi Friends,

I am in canada with closed workpermit and my current project has been completed but I have valid visa until Jan 2016. Other employer is ready to take me but I do not have open wp and other employer is not willing to apply LMIA. my curret PR file is in Pool with 449 points. Is there any option for me to stay here in Canada and to join other company? how can get new wp/open wp to join other company?

As of now there is no way for you to obtain an open work permit. You'll have to wait until you are selected under EE, submit your application and receive the AOR letter from CIC.

You cannot obtain a new closed work permit without a new LMIA. And you can't work for a new employer under your current closed work permit.

So if your new employer isn't prepared to go through the LMIA process, then you'll have to wait until you qualify for the open work permit.
