Closed WP to BOWP

Hi,

I am about to send out my closed WP application (finally!), I got a question about Duration of Expected Employment asked on the application form.

Since I will apply for CEC once I have enough work experience (lacking 2 weeks now), i know that one can only apply for BOWP when the current WP is less than 4 months. For the best benefits of myself, should I put Duration of Expected Employment shorter (let say 1 year), so that I can get the BOWP earlier?

How can you alone decide the duration of employment in closed work permit ? Closed work permit is driven by the employer not the employee . Say for instance, your lmo has been approved for two year duration , then the employer want to use both the two years in a single closed work permit.

In this situation, if you put one year your employer may ask you to change it before submitting it.

But apart from all the above if you can fill up with one year , then go ahead and say as one year so that it would be good chance for applying BOWP before the end of this year.
