Closed Work Permit After AOR?

Hello to All, I have received AOR in Jan 2021. I am currently on closed work permit. My current work permit is valid until First week of May 2021. The AOR says i can apply for Bridging work permit in case for extension. however, i got to know the downside of that i heard is that for any reason if our PR application is refused/rejected. The BOWP becomes Void.

Having said that, Can i apply for closed work permit to be on safer side? please advise.

Your work permit is valid until May. You should, and can only apply for BOWP when your current permit is close to expiring, within 3 months but is still valid.

If you are eligible to apply for a closed WP as well and prefer that instead of a BOWP, it is your call.

@Wolfpmd3 : Thank you this helps. i heard from someone that its a hard rule that we could only go for BOWP upon AOR.. just wanted to place this question in the forum and check on the same.
