Hi All

Please advice.

Basically i am from India, that to from Chennai, soon we are moving to Canada. heard lot about the weather condition in Canada and going to experience it soon.
kindly advice what all precautions, medicines, moisture / face creams or protective creams for skin can be carried and medical prescription advised to carry.

You are allowed to take prescription medication with you to Canada, a supply for up to 90 days / 3 months of use. It should be in original packaging. I am sure you can also take cosmetic creams but try to refrain from home-made unmarked items because customs will be suspicious. In any case, I am sure you can find a lot of creams in Canada as well. When the weather is harsh, you don't go outside much anyway. I have never found that I needed any kind of special creams. Just dress appropriately and when it is very cold, wear a scarf you can drape over your face if needed.

Where are you moving in Canada exactly?

All you need is lots of really warm clothes and boots! Layers are the key to keeping warm ;)

What specific clothes we should get from India? We are moving in November end/December to Toronto with 13 years aged child.

You're gonna need winter boots (waterproof and warm). Winter coats. Gloves, hats, scarves. Long underweat. Sweaters. Warm socks.

Etc...
