Hello,
I have the IELTS--CLB points conversion chart in front of me. I was under the impression that in order to achieve a certain CLB score for the FSW criteria, you needed to achieve the minimum in all four areas, i.e. a 6.5, 7.5, 6.5, 6.5 gets you a CLB 8 and a score of 20, but if any of those scores should be a 6, then it becomes a CLB 7 with a score of 16. My friend is telling me that this is wrong, and that you determine the points by scoring each section individually. I thought you only did this when calculating the Express Entry language points.
Another example, just so I know that I am no misstating myself.
A CLB 9 is achieved by at least a 7/8/7/7 (24 points). If I were to get scores of 7/7.5/7/7, I now have a CLB 8 (20 points).
Which is correct? Remember I am only speaking of the initial 67 FSW points calculation.
Thank you very much for your help.
Tom
